Arnold Cheerleading for 2009

Divisions Divisions include those for High School, Junior High,Youth, Elementary, Studio, Rec, College & Open cheer & dance teams. Most divisions are divided according to size and level.
Flooring The cheer floor is a 54' wide by 44' deep Spring Competition Floor.
Format This is an open competition, no pre-qualifying is necessary. Each team competes one time only. Team competition is held Saturday and Sunday. Individuals & Stunt Teams will compete Friday.
Scoring & Safety Guidelines There will be a total of 100 points possible from each judge. High and low scores are dropped and the remaining scores added together for the final total. All-Star teams will follow USASF levels & guidelines. School teams will follow NFHS guidelines.
Competition Fees

Entry fees include competition fees and admission to all EXPO events
All-Star & School Teams - $60.00 per participant

Rec Teams - $50.00 per participant

Special Needs Teams - compete free

College Cheerleading & Dance Teams - $350.00 - $550.00 per team

Adult / Open Cheerleading & Dance Teams
    $30.00* per participant *FREE if 3 or more teams from the same gym are competing.

Individual & Stunt Team Fees
    Individual Cheerleader: $75.00
    Individual Dancer: $75.00
    5 Girl Stunt Teams: $250.00 per team
    Duo Cheer: $75.00 per participant

Competitor & Team Awards Every competitor receives a medal and souvenir patch. Every team will receive a trophy and be recognized during their awards.

Champion Teams - Winning cheer & dance teams will receive, team trophy, individual medals, and champion banner.
Special Awards Columbus Rotary will be presenting a $1,000 College Scholarship to the top scoring individual Cheerleader.
Spectator Tickets Adults $10.00 per day.10 yrs & under are FREE if accompanied by an adult. This includes total access to the Arnold Fitness EXPO. NO STROLLERS ALLOWED. For tickets, call Ticketmaster at 614-431-3600 or www.ticketmaster.com/arnold. Tickets will also be available at the event.

2009 Arnold Cheerleading & Dance Team Nationals

The 2009 Arnold Cheerleading and Dance Team Nationals will have a new home in 2009, the North Hall of Franklin County Veterans Memorial Auditorium. On Friday, March 6 through Sunday, March 8, 2009. In 2010, the Arnold Cheerleading & Dance Team Nationals will return to the newly expanded Battelle Hall at the Greater Columbus Convention Center. 4,000 competitors will participate in the 2009 Arnold Cheerleading and Dance Team National Championship as part of the Arnold Sports Festival, March 6, 7 & 8 in Columbus, Ohio.

The event is highly competitive and annually proves to be exciting, endearing, and impressive. "This is one of the most exciting events of the weekend," said Brian Hallam, President of US Spirit and event chairman. "It's athletic, fast paced and very exciting."

Cheerleaders and dance team members will compete in High School, Junior High, Middle School, Youth, Elementary, Studio, Rec League, College and All Star Divisions. It is an open competition, no pre-qualification is necessary.

Team competition is held Saturday and Sunday with individuals and stunt teams competing Friday afternoon and evening.

The top dance teams are expected to perform on the EXPO main stage on Sunday afternoon! Awards include jackets, trophies, medals, and team champion banners. All cheer teams will compete on a 54' by 42' AAI Competition Spring Floor. Dance teams will compete on a 40' by 40' Harlequin Dance Floor.

Ticket Information
Arnold Fitness EXPO One-Day tickets and Three Day-Tickets will be available each day at the Arnold EXPO.

Admission to the EXPO is $10.00 per day. The EXPO ticket includes total access to the Arnold Fitness EXPO. Adults & Students: $10.00. 10 Years and under: FREE, if accompanied by adult. No Strollers allowed.
